Since joining Concord things really don?t seem to have stopped for me. From appointing an assistant manager / coach to trying to retain players from last season?s squad and searching for new players who will fit into the Concord way. In my activities I have been frustrated at times but other times I have equally felt rewarded. I hope to add a couple new additions to the playing squad before the season starts in the one area where I feel it is currently needed which is in our defence.

We have completed two weeks of pre-season and the players have worked very hard in the sessions that have been laid on. Tomorrow see?s our first pre-season game and we will take a full squad to this fixture. The idea is to give every member some match time minutes against a Brightlingsea side that I know first-hand from last season. They will try and play football the right way and some very promising youngsters in there team. It will be good to assess the players in match conditions oppose to the training environment and ultimately the players need to be showing the quality that they have being conference south players.

It?s a bit of a journey to get our preseason matches started but I hope as many of the fans can make it as possible.
