The next fixture for Concord Rangers in the Vanarama National League South will be on Boxing Day at home to East Thurrock United, the first of three times the two sides will actually meet in the space of a fortnight.

Concord Rangers extended their unbeaten run to 11 league games this past weekend as they were held to a 1-1 draw away at Hemel Hempstead Town. This was their 8th draw in this 11-game run, and that point kept the side in 16th place in the league, 3 points ahead of Poole Town down in the first relegation zone place of 20th.

East Thurrock United were also victorious this past Saturday as they added more misery to Whitehawks season with a 4-2 win. This win pushed The Rocks up to 9th in the league on 34 points, 2 behind the playoff spots. The win was a welcome one, having lost their previous game 5-1 against the impressive Hampton & Richmond Borough.

The last time our two sides met it was honours even as we drew 1-1 on New Year’s Day 2017, Cameron Norman scoring the Beachboys goal in that fixture.
