This coming Bank Holiday Monday will see local rivals Chelmsford City make their way to the Aspect Arena for Concord Rangers’ next Vanarama National League South fixture.

Chelmsford City are currently in second place in the Vanarama National League South, having won 5 of their 6 games so far this season, losing only to the unbeaten league leaders St Albans City. Most recently the Clarets hosted and beat Truro City 2-0 this past Saturday, having beaten Wealdstone by the same scoreline the week before.

Concord Rangers have had a mixed start to the season so far, currently sitting 12th in the league having won 2, drawn 1 and lost 3 games. After beating Whitehawk 1-0 last Saturday, this past Saturday the Beachboys travelled to the unbeaten league leaders and were unlucky to come out on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline, with Steve Cawley bagging the lone Concord goal.

The last time the two sides met it was a true goal-fest, as Chelmsford City won 4-3 at home at Melbourne Park on February 25th. Concords goals on that day came from Lyle Della-Verde, Dion Sembie-Ferris and Steve Cawley.
