Gloucester City 1
Knowles 62

Draw specialists Concord were at it again drawing their sixth league game in a row as they and visiting Gloucester shared the spoils in a well contested game at a cold Aspect Arena.
City were sharp off the mark and came close as Joe Hanks’ saved shot fell for Karnell Chambers who saw his quick open goal effort sail over the crossbar.
But it was the hosting Beachboys who took the lead, Ben Greenhalgh felled for a penalty and captain Steve Cawley slamming home the spot kick albeit off the strong hand Tom Hadler got on the ball.
Concord could have had two when Khale Da Costa met a deep Femi Akinwande cross but fired agonisingly wide of the upright.
Hadler came to Gloucesters rescue when Cawley slipped in Greenhalgh, the custodian was on hand to make a smart stop with his legs to deny.
The visitors came on strong in the latter stages of the half and they carried their momentum into the second, eventually gaining parity when Chris Knowles capped a neat counter attack heading home a deep cross at the far post.
Both teams had chances to steal the points late with Billy Roast heading an excellent near post corner over from close range and Concord’s Harry Lee making a brilliant last ditch sliding stop to a dangerous square.
