Saints overcome the Beachboys at a bitterly cold Aspect Arena in a entertaining affair.

Closely fought was this encounter which saw Femi Akinwande miss a number of first half chances and Louis Wells in the Concord goal making two fine saves to keep the scores level at the break.

The deadlock was broken when Tom Bender held up a deep cross for striker Harvey Bradbury who tucked his header away well for the lead.

The hosts tried to gather some momentum and get back into the game but a Ben Greenhalgh miss later before St Albans doubled their lead.

Zane Banton ghosting in off the left wing before striking a low, deflected effort which looped cleanly inside the bottom right corner.

Concord piled on the pressure in the latter stages, and were thwarted by the excellent custodian Dean Snedker. He made a number of top saves before Khale Da Costa did manage to put one past him. Smashing home to finish off a fine move.

The last chance of the game fell for Lewis Knight, who volleyed a good chance wide of the post when well placed.
