Concord Rangers progress to the FA Cup 4QR at the expense of a game and energetic Dorking Wanderers overcoming them in a entertaining fixture at the Aspect Arena.
After a fast start by both sides, the hosts took the lead with Amos Nasha striking a loose ball powerfully into the roof of the net.
Both goalkeepers were kept very busy in this attack fluent game and Louis Wells put stop excellently to a Dan Pearse drive on the stroke of half time.
Captain Steve Cawley doubled his sides lead, following up his own blocked shot to smash the ball home at close range.
Dorking were gifted a route back into the game when Jordan Brown made a reckless challenge to offer a penalty. Up stepped Tom Tolfrey, skying the ball high over the crossbar.
“Football is a funny game” as they say, as Concord swept up the other end to put the game beyond Wanderers following their spot kick miss. Jordan Cox taking control before belting home a close range effort to rub salt in the visitors wounds.
Wells for the hosts was on peak form and determined to keep his clean sheet intact as his kept out McShanes point blank effort with his legs.
Concord upped the intensity in the closing stages and a string of wonderful saves by Harry Palmer kept the score at three and it sees the Beachboys through to the next round.
