The Crusaders of Hungerford lift themselves off the foot of the table with a excellent win over their hapless hosts Concord Rangers.
Two second half goals the difference in a fairly one sided affair in which Town were very worthy winners at the Aspect Arena.
Concord looked laboured and lethargic in possession in the first half without really threatening as the visitors created and tested Chris Haigh on three occasions but to no avail. Captain Taofiq Olomowewe should’ve given them the lead shy of the half, heading powerfully just over the bar from a neat corner routine.
As the teams emerged for the second period it was evident that one side wanted the points most and they made it show, taking the lead early in the half. Olomowewe made amends for his early error, slamming home a squared ball into the roof of the net.
The Beachboys displayed a strange lack of urgency for a side one behind but came close to snatching a undeserved equaliser as Joel Nouble rose highest to nod Tom Clifford’s dangerous in swinging free kick.
But Hungerford were not to be denied their day, as Liam Ferdinand raced away deep into injury time to finish with a perfectly placed side foot.
