Concord crush sorry Welling in a reasonably one sided affair at a breezy Aspect Arena.
Visiting Welling started the half with the upper hand but once the Beachboys got into their stride they took the lead through Lemar Reynolds. Joel Nouble slaloming his way between numerous challenges during his left wing run saw him swing a pin perfect ball across to the arriving Reynolds who’s side footed volley found the back of the net via the post.
United looked to restore parity and almost did so when a dangerous in-swinging delivery was met by Jay Rick Baghuelou who should’ve tucked away the header but instead steered it a shade wide of the target.
A pair of handily placed free kicks on the eve of half time were wasted by Welling as they probed for an equaliser.
The second half was a tough endure for the travelling away supporters though as Concord took the game away from their visitors.
The lead was doubled when Nouble put paid to a moment of madness in the box, cutting onto left foot before rifling home from the centre of the area.
The hosts were very much in the ascendancy at this stage and saw a Reynolds snap shot well saved by Dan Wilks.
The result was confirmed shortly later as a rapid move saw James Blanchfield release Decarrey Sheriff, the latter then squaring and teeing up Kreshnic Krasniqi to slot the ball home at the back post.
Bradley Goldberg came close to a late consolation goal but to see his powerful close range effort saved brilliantly by Chris Haigh.
