Another addition to the back from staff as Danny Scopsey adds a Goalkeeper coach to his staff.

Howett joins us from Grays Athletic and here is what he had to say.

A move from Grays Athletic, how did it come about?

Me and Adam spoke about the role which I was keen to take on as I’m still fairly young in terms of coaching years and a chance to work with Scopesy and his staff in the National League South I couldn’t turn down. It’s a shame I have to leave grays as I loved it there. It’s a great club with great people but I will always want to progress and test myself at the highest level I can.
Coaches much of the time go unnoticed most of the time, what do you think you will bring to the team?
Haha yes, coaches do go unnoticed a fair bit especially in non-league and in terms of the time they give up more so but I’m very passionate about doing well and winning and I really work hard on my background research and everything to do with goalkeeping as it’s a position that’s always evolving. I will just muck in where needed, listen and learn from Scopesy.
Do you know much about new signing Chris Haigh?
When I spoke to Adam about Concord he asked me who I thought was the beat keeper last season that I saw and I said without a doubt it was Chris! I saw him play a few times and he’s an excellent keeper considering he’s still young, he will only get better and I know he’s got a great attitude towards training hard and in his preparation for matches, he’s a real coupe for Concord and I can’t wait to get working with him!
