Danny Green will be extending his spell with the club for the 2019/20 season.

I caught up with Greeny on all things Last season, The Management team and also his Summer.

Danny, another year with Concord Rangers. How you feeling about the changes around the club and another year as a beachboy?

“There have been a lot of changes already, a new exciting season is coming up, with new players and a new management team. I’m very happy to be a beach boy next season, and we’ll hopefully push for another playoff place”

With what looks a few changes in the squad, What do you feel your role around the club and team will be like next season?

“I feel I have a lot of experience to help younger players now, I’ve played in big games for some big clubs so hopefully my role will still be assisting and scoring as many goals as possible, but to help the manager and the management team as much as I can around the dressing room”

What’s your relationship like with Scopsey and Minsh?

“Really enjoyed working with Scopsey last season, he really improved us as a squad when he came in. All the boys took to him and I feel he was a huge part in the final position we achieved last season. Minsh is a great pro, played in the league and has a lot of experience, he was the voice of the dressing room last season and for him to take over as assistant manager will be a great role for him and the club”

Having played in the league and in some big games how did last season compare for you?

“I really enjoyed last season, as a team we were quality. We had a small squad but the lads really worked hard for each other and gave everything all season”

How do you feel Concord Rangers will fare next season?

“It’s hard to say at this moment in time as we need to see what new faces come into the club, but I have faith in the new management team to bring in quality”

Concord Rangers is only a small club how does it compare to your previous clubs?

“I’ve played for some big clubs, Charlton, MK Dons , Luton and Dagenham & Redbridge, Concord is a small club, but it’s a real community club, the chairman is fantastic! People give him their spare time to help this club improve every season!”

What have you got planned for your summer break?

“To rest and recover from another busy season. I think I played over 40 games which was a real bonus for me personally. I was involved in every match day squad in all competitions. So I’ll have a holiday and spend time with my family”

What’s your early predictions for next season?

“Playoffs have to be the aim, we set high standards last season so that’s the challenge this season”

Massive thank you to Danny Green for his time, See you after TURKEY!!!!!
