This coming Saturday will see Concord Rangers begin their 2017/18 Vanarama National League South campaign on the road at familiar foes Wealdstone.

The Stones finished last season in 8th, outside of the playoffs on 66 points. Over the summer they’ve added some new faces and have had an interesting set of preseason results, including a 2-2 draw away at Slough Town, a 1-0 win at home to Watford U23s, and a 6-1 win at home to Reading U23s.

Concord Rangers ended their preseason with a 3-0 win over local “rivals” Canvey Island, and this past Saturday were able to beat a strong Barnet side by 3 goals to 1 . After a tough season last time out where the club finished 18th, 2 spots clear of the drop zone, The Beachboys will be looking to start this season strong and with 3 points.

To get to The Vale on Saturday by car, leave Concord Island and head to the M25 by either the A13 or A127, whichever is your preferred choice! Then head anti-clockwise on the motorway until you reach Junction 16 where you come off onto the A40. Leave that road at The Polish War Memorial junction on to the A4180 sign posted to Ruislip. Continue on West End Road, then turn right into Grosvenor Vale after approx 1.5 miles, the ground is at the end of the road

By rail, after getting a train in to London (Fenchurch Street or Liverpool Street), get on the Metropolitan Line tube (no engineering works planned for Saturday) and alight at Ruislip. On immediately leaving the station turn left and walk up the stairs (Waitrose will be opposite you), turn left and go over the bridge, past the Barn Hotel, for approx 250 yards and turn left into Grosvenor Vale

Admission fees for the game on Saturday are as follows: Adults £13, Concessions £9 and Under 18s are just £3, whilst Under 14s are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
