CONCORD striker Harry Elmes returned to action in a comfortable friendly win over Billericay Town on Wednesday night.

The forward, who has spent 20 months on the sidelines after suffering a broken leg, came off the bench and almost scored as the Beachboys ran ot 7-0 winners at the Aspect Arena.

The goals were scored by captain Tony Stokes, Alex Woodyard, two for Joe Gardner, and one apiece for Gary Ogilvie, Sam Collins and Jack Lampe.

It was a useful warm-up for Saturday’s FA Cup trip to fellow Vanarama South side Wealdstone.
