BISHOPS STORTFORD RES  0   CONCORD RANGERS RES  1
After losing to Brentwood Town 1 - 0 last week and having most of the play and not being able to score, this week it was a complete reverse.
Bishops Stortford had most of the attacking play, Concord's goalkeeper Dale Brightly, coming back from a suspension had to pull off some smart saves to keep out Stortford's No 10 Jamie Silvester's shot and No 7 Rory Hill's effort at the near post early on.
These and other saves during the match proved to have a bearing on the game because In the19th minute Concord's Jason Fontaine collected the ball 30 yards out from the Stortford goal and hit a great shot to score the only goal of the game, it was a goal worthy of winning the match.
Concord could have gone further in front in the 25th minute when Liam Hopkins took an inch perfect free kick to find an unmarked Dave Sadler but his header flew over the bar.
At this stage Taylor Sinfield who was my man of the match was having a very good game keeping the skilful Stortford frontman Ellis Remy at bay and alongside Taylor young Grant Morris was also playing well, Grant for a16 year old looks to have a good future. These two young lads, Taylor is only 18 year played throughout the match with confidence and well above their age.
This was Concord's first victory playing in the Capital Football League for the first time this season, lets hope it is the first of many.
Team: 1. Dale Brightly   2. Liam Hopkins   3. Dave Collins   4. Ben Britnell   5. Taylor Sinfield   6. Grant Morris   7. Jason Fontaine
            8. John Bradley   9. Dave Sadler   10. Ryan Smith   11. Joe Gardner   12. Max Kent   14. Billy Shulver   15. Jack Gardner
