NEW Concord striker Evans Kouassi will be pushing for a start at home to high-flying Bromley today.

The 25-year-old quickly became a fans’ favourite with lively displays for Chelmsford City at the start of this season but a hamstring injury saw his spell at the Clarets peter out.

But there is no denying the ex-Billericay man’s quality and he will hope to showcase that against the Ravens on Boxing Day.

Bromley feature ex-Billericay defenders Rob Swaine, Joe Anderson and Paul Rodgers, and former Canvey loan strikers Louis Dennis and Moses Ademola.

Ademola scored in a 1-0 win over St Albans in their last game and they start the game in second, three points behind leaders Boreham Wood.

It is the first of two meetings between the sides in a week with the reverse fixture taking place on New Year’s Day.

Concord will be looking for a good response after a 3-1 defeat to Bishop’s Stortford in their last game before Christmas.
