Paul is very much a family man who is married to Julie for 14 years and has 4 children, Holly 26, Lewis 24 (played for Wivenhoe last season), Samuel 11 and Aimee aged 8.
Born in East London in 1965 Paul grew up following and playing for Leyton Orient FC at Youth Level, although this was a very short term experience due to a serious injury. This did not deter him and he has continued to follow the team right up to this day!
Paul Moved to Chelmsford 25 years ago and has quite a few business interests in the area, which include two of his own businesses and being Sales Director for Tiger Business Supplies based in Wickford.
Paul first got involved in Football through being a non-executive Director at Chelmsford City FC and then being appointed CEO over at Billericay Town FC which is a post he left in January of this year.
He is looking forward to expanding the drive and determination which has been shown by the Concord FC Chairman Ant Smith and Sammy Moore and making this Club as successful off the pitch as no doubt they will be on it!
Paul has plans to forge long lasting strong relationships that will involve local businesses, community projects and schools programs which will include visiting schools, academic awards and classroom interaction.
Paul said “ it seems to have been forgotten by the vast majority that a Football Club should be the heartbeat of its community, it should be the axis around which everything turns! You cannot expect to open your gates on a Saturday and expect the stadium to be full, you need to give people a reason to come and that does not just include having a winning team! I hope my plans and ideas will give that reason for people to want to be a part of this to the extent that they feel it’s a must to want to be here and be part of this”!
