This coming Saturday Concord Rangers will host Margate in their latest Vanarama National League South fixture, with both sides looking to get a vital 3 points in their respective fights for survival.

Margate are on a losing streak to forget, having not had a positive league result since they beat Hemel Hempstead Town back on the 8th of October, and have lost 18 straight league games, most recently being consecutive 2-0 losses against Whitehawk last Saturday and Chelmsford City on Tuesday night. Margate currently sit at the bottom of the Vanarama National League South on just 16 points, and will be looking to kick start a survival bid with a positive result today.

Concord Rangers also suffered a loss to Chelmsford City in their last match, that being a 4-3 thriller at Melbourne Park last Saturday which was marred by questionable officiating towards both sides… Prior to that the Beachboys had beat both Eastbourne Borough and Truro City in league encounters, helping their survival bid immensely. The most recent loss though dropped Concord right back in to the mix, as they now sit in 18th spot, 7 points clear of the drop zone.

The last encounter between these two clubs saw Concord Rangers go to Margate and earn their second win of the season, winning 5-1 on the day. The Beachboys will be looking to repeat that result this time round and move closer to National League South survival….
