This weekend Concord Rangers travel to St Albans City for their next Vanarama National League South fixture

The Saints are currently sitting atop of the National League South, having a perfect record of 5 games and 5 wins, scoring 11 goals in the process. Their most recent result was a 1-0 win on the south coast as they beat Poole Town last Saturday afternoon.

Concord Rangers earned their second win of the season last Saturday at home to early strugglers (and the still winless) Whitehawk, beating the visitors 1-0 on the day. Whilst it wasn’t the best looking win, the 3 points are always valuable and this bumped the side up to 11th in the National League South.

The last time the two sides met was on the 28th January 2017, as the Beachboys hosted St Albans at Thames Road. It was a tough game, but goals from Steve King and Dion Sembie-Ferris (2) gave Concord Rangers a vital 3-2 win which broke a near 2 month run without a victory for the side.

A note before the road directions, there is only a small amount of parking at Clarence Park, but the nearby station car park can be used (for a charge) as well as the surrounding roads. First head to the M25 via the A13 or A127, whichever your preference, heading northbound when you join the motorway. Keep going round until you exit the M25 at junction 22 (A1081). Follow the signs to St. Albans from the slip road. At London Colney roundabout exit onto the A1081. Follow the road for 1 mile until the mini roundabout. Turn right into Alma Road then at the traffic lights turn right into Victoria Street and continue to the junction with the Crown pub. Go straight across into Clarence Road and the ground is first on the left about 50 yards past the junction.

St Albans City station is just a 5 minute walk from the ground, and it is regularly served by trains run by Thameslink (from St Pancras, Blackfriars & Farringdon).
