Easter Monday will see fellow strugglers Whitehawk be the penultimate visitors to the Aspect Arena this season in the latest Vanarama National League South encounter for Concord Rangers.
The Hawks come in to todays game sitting in 18th place, just one behind Concord Rangers, having come from behind to earn a vital point in a 1-1 draw at home to St Albans City this past Saturday. Prior to that draw Whitehawk had lost 3 of their last 4 fixtures, and find themselves just 2 points above Gosport Borough who continue to occupy the final relegation spot, but can still climb free depending on other results.
Concord Rangers fell 2-0 away at league leaders Maidenhead on Good Friday, and with that result the Beachboys have lost their last 3 games, conceding 9 and scoring just 1 in those fixtures. This poor run of form leaves them in 17th place in the league and only 3 points clear of the drop zone, and they will be hoping for a much better time at home on Easter Monday than the last fixture at the Aspect Arena (losing 5-0 to Bath City).
The last time these two sides met was back in August, an early season encounter where both sides failed to find the back of the net in a 0-0 stalemate at The Enclosed Ground. There will be a lot more pressure on both sides in this fixture given that it could well be the proverbial 6 pointer that saves either side from the drop.
