Welcome to ‘The Fans View’. This is our website feature that we’ll be putting out every week ahead of our upcoming matches this season. Saturday afternoon sees the Beachboys travelling to Clarence Park, home of St Albans. take a read of the view from one of St Albans fans

St Albans, founded 110 years ago are managed by former Arsenal and Stoke City winger, Ian Allison currently sit in a comfortable 12th position, something they’d most likely to improve on but at this stage of the season, mid table is a good position.

We spoke to ‘The Saints’ fan, Olly to see what he’s making of the two sides and how he feels going into tomorrows match:

1 -What have you made of St Albans start to the season?

I’d say it’s been a fair start for us lot, bar some of the results which a couple of them we should of got something out of we  have played relatively well, my only concern so far is how poor our defence has been, we’ve let in far to many goals from stupid errors & set pieces. We’ve had a few ins and outs over the summer including Khale Da Costa coming over from you guys, bar a few things it’s been a positive start overall.

2- What are your hopes for the season ahead?

For me it’s just a case of maintaining a comfortable position in the league, anything else would be a bonus, it’s a very tough league this season and some brilliant teams in it, but we’ve just got to take one game at a time and see where we end up!

3 – Who’s the star man for ‘The Saints’ to look out for?

Ben Wyatt, bringing him in was a massive coup for us considering he got promoted with Braintree and won fans player of the season last season. His performances have been top draw, merited by winning Augusts player of the month, one to look out for for sure.

4 – What have you make of Concord Rangers so far?

Very good, seems the club has got a new lease of life with Sammy Moore & Jack Midson coming in, the recruitment of players has been class, Alex Wall seems to of been a great bit of business, he’s banging them in every week!

5 – What’s your prediction for Saturday’s game?

For me I’ve said this would be our toughest game yet, but we’ve just won 2 on the spin so we’re looking to keep the momentum going. I’m going with 2-1 St Albans.

Thankyou to Olly (@Ollyygs) for contributing to another article of our fans view, are you a Concord Rangers fan or an opposition fan? We’d love to hear from you in the coming games! Email Alfie@ConcordRangers.co.uk
