This weekend Concord Rangers will host Tunbridge Wells FC as the Beachboys make a start to their 2017/18 FA Cup journey.

The fixture this weekend is in the 2nd Qualifying Round, and the visitors come to Thames Road on the back of a solid 1-0 league win against Croydon this past week. The Wells reached this round by beating Haywards Heath Town in the 1st Qualifying Round, having drawn the first fixture 2-2 and winning the replay 3-0 after extra time.

Tunbridge Wells ply their trade in the Eastern Counties East Football League Premier Division, and that meant they also had to get through both the Extra Preliminary and Preliminary Rounds of the competition. They were able to beat Beckenham Town FC 1-0 and CB Hounslow United FC 3-1 in those respective rounds, both at home.

Concord Rangers are on a run of league form they would rather forget, losing their last 6 games in a row, with the most recent being a 1-0 loss to Braintree Town this past Tuesday night. The game on Saturday will be the first appearance for Concord Rangers in the FA Cup this season, and they will be working hard to make sure it is a successful appearance, given the quick exit the side has made from the competition in the last 2 years.
