HT – 1-1

The points were shared in a heated Essex derby on this cold Saturday in January.

Concord Rangers started the more positive side, and their early attacks paid off as Wall headed home a cross from Gardner, whilst the Ricay ‘keeper was left stranded. The Beachboys looked the dominant side and were creating chances throughout, with Blues ‘keeper Julian pulling out an outstanding reaction save to deny Midson a goal.

Against the run of play, Billericay surged forward and Connor Smith cut in from the left and let loose a speculative shot from 30 yards which sailed into the net, with Beasant letting it go as it looked to be heading over.

The second half was full of incidents, on 53 minutes Debrah picked up his second yellow for bringing down Wall. 5 minutes later it was levelled up as Wall earned his 2nd yellow for a dive outside the box.

Billericay responded in quick fashion, breaking up the pitch, before Emmanuel beat Beasant at his near post.

Concord fought back as the game wore on, and during added time they were able to get something from the game. Lee Minshull was brought down in the area and a penalty was given, which Jack Midson then slammed the ball home to level the scores and send both sides home with a point.
