Vanarama National League South
Concord Rangers 0
Bath City 1
Hosting Concord come into this one on a barren run of form, having failed to take a point from their previous four. Contrasting for Bath as they beat Oxford in midweek which places them in the top half.
It turned out to be the perfect smash and grab for visiting City, as they stunned an impressive Concord team to steal the points.
Jordan Cox for the hosts squandered a trio of chances in the first half, the pick of which saw him nod a perfect Kyron Farrell cross over the top.
Marvin Morgan in the black and white caused problems and was cut short on a number of occasions by the brilliant Billy Roast.
Young substitute Adam Topley came close for the Beachboys, cutting in off the left and striking narrowly over.
Concord were wondering how they hadn’t scored after Cox played provider for strike partner Steve Cawley, his cross being volleyed strongly straight into the arms of the grateful Luke Southwood.
The decisive blow was struck late in the game, a left wing cross well placed for Nat Jarvis who stooped low to head inside the bottom left.
Late sub Khale Da Costa almost rescued a point, finding space to shoot at the death with Southwood saving neatly low to his left.
