Due to a change in circumstances, Concord Rangers first home preseason fixture this coming Tuesday 19th July will now be against Gillingham FC.
The Gills are bringing a full squad to The Aspect Arena Tuesday night, which will include their new signing and former Beachboy Billy Knott, who joined the Gills on a 2 year deal this past summer after leaving Bradford City. Knotty has had spells at Sunderland, AFC Wimbledon, Woking and Port Vale, before joining the Bantams in 2014, making 79 appearances for them in 2 years.
Gillingham finished last season 9th in League 1, and will be looking to improve on that this season as they aim for the playoffs or even automatic promotion to the Championship.
The League 1 club will be a stern test for Concord Rangers, who have started their preseason with back to back 1-1 draws away at Waltham Abbey and Folkestone Invicta (with our goals coming from new signing Dean Mason and Tom Stephen respectively).
Kick off on Tuesday night will be 7:45pm at The Aspect Arena, £10 adults & £5 concessions
