The Beachboys returned from the West Country on Saturday with an excellent three points against Weston Super Mare, as they had a resounding 3-0 victory at Woodspring Stadium.

We chatted to manager Adam Flanagan who was understandably delighted with the result…

What for you was the most pleasing aspect of the performance against Weston?

The win was great but the most pleasing thing for me was the clean sheet. Our goals against column is something that doesn’t please me and this is something that needs to be brought back in line with other teams in our league. On this front we are now starting to get a settled back line in place so hopefully we will continue to keep things tight and add to the clean sheets we have been getting recently.

Again another great result away from home, is it only a matter of time before results improve at home?

If we continue to put the levels of performance in as we have been doing over the last few weeks then our results will definitely pick up at home.

How key has been the move to put Ben Greenhalgh in a “free role”?  Is that position the best way to get the best from him?

Ben has done well playing in a more central position which is mainly because it enables him to get involved in the game a lot more. Ben has good quality whether it be passing, crossing or shooting so it is a role suited for him. He needs to continue working hard, look to release team mates quicker when an opportunity arises and if he does these things then I can’t see why he couldn’t continue to do well centrally.
