Who? Maidstone United

What? Vanarama National League South

When? Saturday 11th September 2021 – 3pm

Where? Gallagher Stadium, Maidstone

This weekend Concord Rangers travel to the Gallagher Stadium in Kent to take on Maidstone United in the Vanarama National League South. The beachboys will look to gain another three points following a 1-0 victory last week against Hemel Hempstead Town, but this will arguably be the toughest test so far as the stones currently sit above them in the table.

Our opponents:

Maidstone United currently sit in second place in the National League South table, three points above the beachboys. The stones are currently undefeated so far in the league this season, winning four games and drawing one. The last time Maidstone hosted Concord Rangers was in October 2020, where the home side defeated the beachboys 6-0.

Ones to watch:

Maidstone United – Joan Luque: Luque has made a huge impact since re-joining the club in the summer, scoring three goals in the opening five games. The midfielder has played for many clubs across both Spain and England and even had a spell at the beachboys in the 2018/19 season.

Concord Rangers – Danny Green: Green scored his first league goal for the beachboys in last week’s 1-0 win and put in a performance which earned him man-of-the-match. He has been a key midfield asset so far this season, making him a regular feature in the starting 11.
