Concord Rangers Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Search as our new first team manager.
Search is joined at our club by former Beachboy Danny Green who is coming in as his assistant who brings with him experience in both the professional and non-league game, and highly respected Craig Shipman who will become first team coach.
The 42-year-old has overseen an incredibly successful period as manager of our U18’s side and has a wealth of experience of how our club works having spent the last four years at Thames Road.
In light of the unforeseen resignation of Search’s predecessor Danny Scopes, the Committee and Chris were aligned in their shared desire for continuity, stability and honesty being key to the clubs success moving forward.
The new manager had these word to share on his appointment;
“Firstly I would like to say thanks to Concord Rangers and the Committee for giving me the opportunity to manage this great club after four years at the club and having worked closely with the first team over the past two seasons including the memorable day at Wembley.”
“I am not underestimating the massive leap in levels, however alongside Danny Green and Craig Shipman I believe we have a very complimentary and strong management team following on from the shock departures of Ant Smith and Danny Scopes in recent days and I felt this is an opportunity to continue the great work of the previous management team.”
“With the promise of hard work from us all we look forward to the new season ahead and will endeavour to progress the club in all possible ways on and off the field.”
The new management team are confident of securing the services of a number of our existing playing squad which contributed to our Committee voting unanimously in favour of Chris, Danny and Craig for the job.
We look forward to supporting Chris, Danny, Craig and their team in what promises to be an exciting season ahead. Video interviews with our new management team will be released on our social channels this weekend.
