The Beachboys have not been in action in almost a month following the actions taken by club Chairman Ant Smith due to the league and DCMS being unable to provide clubs with grants. Alongside Health and Safety concerns with the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. This being followed by a 2-week suspension for all tier 2 clubs. With the suspension over and testing now in place for all 1st team players and management, the Beachboys return to National League South action with a visit to the Sussex coast to take on Eastbourne Borough.
After the Beachboys’ last league game in which we endured a narrow 2-1 defeat to Ebbsfleet United, the Beachboys are keen to put things right following the league suspension and the postponements of our matches against Hemel Hempstead and Tonbridge Angels we finally have a chance to start a run of good league results as we head to the South coast.
The Sports sit 5th in the table following an impressive 3 game win streak in which they recently beat top of the table Dartford in a narrow 1-0 victory completing the league double over the Darts. The other two wins included a 3-2 success over Hungerford Town and a 2-1 win over last seasons play-off semi-finalists Havant & Waterlooville a Chris Whelpdale brace in that one helped seal the first of 3 consecutive wins for Eastbourne
The last meeting between the two sides came earlier on in the season on the 12th December in which the 2-2 stalemate ended with Eastbourne taking a point back home to Priory Lane.
Key Players:
Concord Rangers- Tyrone Sterling
Experienced Sterling will look to guide the Beachboys to only our 2nd clean sheet of the league season in this on. The former Dover man brings a wealth of experience to the backline which will continue to boost the confidence in our defence.

The veteran midfielder has scored 3 goals in the last 3 league games! His brace against Havant & Waterlooville and his goal against table-toppers Dartford gave Eastbourne 2 impressive victories. He will be looking to add to his tally this weekend.
