Concord travel to an out of form Hemel Hempstead on Saturday who are winless in their last 4 league games, conceding 11 in the process. After winning their first game of 2019 in a 2-1 home win against Bath, Concord will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to 6 league games if they still want to be in with a chance of the play-offs.

Concord’s Keys to victory

Concord’s top scorer Alex Wall will no doubt play a huge role in the tie, having already scored 16 league goals this season; First team coach Darren Beale highlighted his importance in the post-match interview last Saturday “We know what he’s all about, we know that his goals are a massive threat and an asset to the club.” At the other end of the pitch, Goalkeeper Sam Beasant will play an equally important role and will be confident coming into this fixture after a MOTM performance in the game against Bath, Darren Beale went on to say “That’s what you get with Sam… overall when you look at the season he’s made some great saves and kept us in games and that was no different today”

Hemel Hempstead’s danger man

Captain Jordan Parkes will be pivotal if The Tudors want to end their poor run of form on Saturday. The midfielder has a brilliant eye for goal with 9 goals this season and is deadly from range, scoring 2 contenders for goal of the season in their recent 3-3 draw with Dulwich Hamlet. Parkes earned u20 caps with England at youth level and will need to be closed down quickly when within shooting distance.

Not as bad as it looks for Hemel?

Despite not being at their best lately, Hemel have had a tough run of fixtures this month which saw them face Woking and Torquay who are currently 1st and 2nd in the league. They also conceded an 89th minute equaliser in the 3-3 draw with Dulwich Hamlet which has only added to their frustration. Concord are not to take the mid table team lightly, as they are a team which certainly has goals in them, and will no doubt be determined to get back to winning ways.
