Playoff bound Oxford pulled off a slimline win over the hosting Beachboys in the resplendent spring sunshine.
The hoops capitalised on some weak defensive work and opened the scoring through Joe Iaciofano. Gliding onto a horrific mistake, he made light work in striking past the stranded Myles Roberts for the lead.
Another dubious defending decision led to Lewis Coyle being chopped down for a free kick. Josh Ashby took responsibility and did his duty by sticking it in the top corner to double their advantage on the stroke of half time.
Concord found their feet in the second half and halved the deficit through substitute Temi Babalola. Ryan Blackman squared for the front man to bundle the ball home.
The Beachboys struggled for openings to level the game with the City back line standing resolutely up to the task.
George Harmon almost finished the job late on, seeing his back post header superbly saved by Roberts.
Oxford look forward to their playoff contention where Concord sit comfortably mid table, lying in wait to compete in their 10th season in the National League South.
