A first minute Alex Wall strike was cancelled out by goals from Rakish Bingham and Adam Mekki saw Concord frustratingly lose 2-1 to Ebbsfleet United at the Stonebridge Road Stadium.

After a 1-0 win and first clean sheet in a year for the Beach Boys against rivals Billericay Town, Concord looked to get back-to-back wins for the first time this season. This game started off very promising for the away side after in form Alex Wall scored his sixth goal League of the season. Lewis simper once again shinning, created this opportunity after finely releasing the ball towards Alex Wall, a great run-in behind Dennis Kutriebs defenders as he latched onto the ball and placed a perfect low shot into the side netting, 1-0 to Concord.

12 minutes after the opening goal from the Beach Boys, the Fleet were level, after some ping ball football in the box and a fair amount of blocks from the Concord defenders the ball fell to the feet of Rakish Bingham, who pivoted and placed his shot into the back of the net to make the scores 1-1

In the 18th minute another, chances fell to the Fleet as Chris Solly saw a chance to strike towards Adam Pryzbeks net after he created space, dribbling away from Ashley Charles. He hit his shot with his laces and the flying Adam Pryzbek palmed the ball superbly around his post to keep the scores level.

In the 21st minute saw another scramble of bodies in the Concord box, this time it almost resulted in a goal from the home side. When Rakish Bingham had ‘potentially’ put the ball in the net following a well-worked set-piece. Fortunately, neither the referee nor linesman spotted the ball cross the line and the game continued with the score 1-1

The second half started much as the first half ended with the Fleet on top. The Beach Boys struggled to find their feet with a lot of possession shown from The Fleet. Another chance showcased when the ball was fed over the top to Jack Paxman who saw his shot from an angle palmed past the near post by Pryzbek.

A minute later though saw a pivotal chance appear after some good play from Ebbsfleet, working around Concords Defence and midfield, the Beach Boys managed to win the ball ended up playing it around the defence whilst the Ebbsfleet players were demonstrating a high line, this created an unbalance between forward and defence resulting in a misplaced pass, the astray pass made by Sam Blackman was intended for the keeper but Rakish Bingham’s latched onto the ball but the shot was saved, the ball fell to the advancing Adam Mekki, who side-footed the ball into an open net, and the fleet took the lead.

After a lot of possession football in midfield, e finally saw a chance for Concord Rangers to draw terms level, this chance turned up to the feet of Odei Martin. Initially, he ball was crossed into the box but failed to find the head of anyone, the ball was then crossed back in from Wall and found the feet of Odei, but his chance sailed over the bar from 5 yards out.

Finally, in the 87th minute Ebbsfleet United had a chance to put the game to bed after some well-constructed play by 26-year-old Alexander Eirich, luckily for the Beach Boys Eirich’s good play was not converted by Adam mekki after his quick-fire shot went zooming past the post. This is where this fixture concluded though, no back-to-back win for the Beach Boys staying at 16th in the table, but for the home side a good result making them slide up one place to 10th.
