Ollie Kensdale joined the Beach Boys during the week, after leaving Colchester United in January, and played the full 90 minutes against Eastbourne Borough on Saturday. See what he had to say to Euan Rourke about arriving at the Club.

Why did you join Concord Rangers?

It’s a place where I know a few of the lads and previous players and they can’t speak highly enough of the club. I knew I was coming into a good team with a good atmosphere.

I knew the management have been keen on signing me for a while, so it’s good to finally get it done.

Making your debut on Saturday and helping pick up a good point, how did you feel after completing the game?

It felt good to be back on the pitch and playing for something. I felt physically good and I’m looking forward to getting many more games under my belt at this Club.

Going straight into the starting line-up, how did you find playing with your new teammates?

I’ve played alongside Billy [Roast] and Chris [Haigh] before at Colchester so that was something I enjoyed. I felt I fitted in well and a good point to build on.

The club have some big games coming up this month, whether they are played or not is another question, but how can the boys build on the performance from Saturday?

I think building partnerships in our units and as a team. You can see from Saturday’s performance we have a really good team and we are only going to get better with more games together.
