Who? Billericay Town

What? – Vanarama National League South

When?Sunday 26th December 2021

Where?The New Lodge

This Sunday, Boxing Day football is back as Concord will travel to local rivals Billericay Town. The Beachboys will be looking to gain some form in the league with them being 3 games without a win but a promising performance of late against high flying Ebbsfleet will fill them with confidence going into this one.

Our Opponents

Billericay currently sit 21st in the league table with only 8 points so far this season. The Blues will need to turn the season around sooner rather than later and will view this Essex derby as a chance to put their form behind them and get a result. The last time the two teams met, it was Concord who came out on top with a 1-0 victory in January earlier this year.

Ones to watch:

Billericay Shaquile Coulthirst A product of the Tottenham academy, Coulthirst is a man with plenty of experience not only in the football league but in non-league as well. His most prolific spell came at Barnet where he scored 23 goals in 81 games. Only signing for Billericay recently, he has only played 2 games so far and he’s still looking for his first goal and will look to do that this weekend.

Concord Rangers Lewis Simper – Since returning to the club, Simper already has 2 goals to his nameand will look to carry on his fine form on Sunday. Simper was also the match winner in this fixture last season during his first spell at the club so he already has history in this fixture.
