Concord midfielder Taylor Miles took time out this past week to speak to the website about how he’s been playing recently and the excellent run of form the team has been on!

Hi Taylor, things have been going very well for the team of late consisting of a run of 15 games unbeaten, what?s your personal feelings on how things have been going?

I know its a brilliant run, all the lads are buzzing from it. All we can do is take it game by game to keep the run going and to keep working as hard as we are. Cant take our foot off the pedal. Not that Danny and Nicki would let us.

You came back at the start of the season after being released, what did that make you think about and did it make you work harder on anything?

Was disappointed to say the least, but by getting released it made me realise how difficult it is play and stay at that level. Just made me want to work harder overall on every aspect of my game and with the people and belief around me at concord its given me the confidence to try new things and become a better player.

You have managed to get a decent run of games now and taken the chance with both hands, do you feel you are playing close to your best football or is there more to come from Taylor Miles?

Yeah I believe I am playing well at the moment but also know there is more to come. I?m still 19 and haven?t fully developed physically yet so yeah there is always room for improvement.

You seem to be a bit of a free kick specialist is this something you put a lot of work into practicing?

Yes before training starts I work on my free kicks with Taffe and Steve Cawley. Steve is still trying to perfect the wobbler.

What?s your favourite goal you have scored for Concord Rangers?

It?s between the volley against Chelmsford and Weston-super-Mare away.

The players all have a very close bond on the pitch and would do anything for each other, is it exactly the same off the field?

Yes I?d say so, they?re a great bunch of lads who all get on well on and off the pitch. There is a great spirit amongst the squad from both players and management.

Does anyone make a pest of themselves when you are all out together?

Hard for me to get out with the team as i live further away, but we went out in Chelmsford Saturday after Ebbsfleet game…just ask Glozier.

Back to football, what is your target for the rest of the season?

To continue my run in the team and score the important goals to help Concord reach the playoffs
