MATT LE TISSIER is backing a campaign to break attendance records at Vanarama Conference games on Saturday’s Non League Day (September 6).
Conference sponsors Vanarama?s #thumbsup4NLD campaign aims to recruit personalities who love the game to raise awareness through social media.
The plan is to encourage fans with Premier League or Football League season tickets with no games to go to because of the international break to go to a non-league game.
The target is to get more than 50,000 at Conference games on the day – breaking the existing record of 39,210, from 2012.
Vanarama will make a donation on behalf of every fan attending a Conference fixture to Prostate Cancer UK, the event?s charity.
Based on last year?s attendance this will be a donation of £4,000, however if the match day attendance across the Vanarama Conference is higher than 50,000, Vanarama will donate at least £10,000. Full details can be found at www.vanarama.co.uk/thumbsup4nld
